When you have a tree that as one of these signs it may be time to call a professional.
If a tree shows signs a falling it might do just that. We hear time and time again being in the tree profession that people were going to call to have a branched or tree removed but they never got around to it. Then it was too late. Half the tree ends up on the house or car. Then they regret not making that phone call. You have to understand that some tree's can lean for years and never go down. Her is the best way to look at it. If you are unsure than call an honest pro that will let you know a professional opinion. The reason I say honest is because if you get just anybody then they might tell you that it should be removed so they get the business and money. An honest tree service company with referrals will shoot you straight. A good company I know of is tree trimming Evansville wink wink, and that may be because you are reading there blog right now. If your tree is dead and you know there is no hope for it than you can just give someone a call. If you think it MAY be dying or are unsure than have it evaluated by your local arborist. An arborist studies trees and the tree may have something affecting it's health that can be fixed. They would be able to give you some advice to get the tree back to its happy healthy self. If you can save a tree that is great as long as it's not causing any danger. Tree diseases can also affect a tree. An arborist can determine this as well. There is a long list of diseases that a tree may have. Sometimes those trees can be saved, but if not its best to have it removed.

It was really helpful when you suggested calling an arborist if the person is not sure if their tree is dying as they can give the tree a check and determine if the tree can still be saved. I will be sure to call a local professional then because I want to save my tree as much as possible. The only problem is that I would not know the problem if I was alone. Thank you for sharing this!

I liked that you mentioned a professional tree removal contractor will be able to tell you if a lean tree represents a safety hazard for you or your family. my mother noticed that a tree in her backyard is leaning towards her house, and we are looking for advice to know if it could be dangerous. I will let her know about the benefits of calling a tree removal company to help her decide what will be the best thing to do.

It's good to know that you should call a professional if you think your tree is dead. Yesterday I was out in my front yard working on my garden, and I noticed how the tree in my front yard was slightly leaning, and I worry about it falling and hurting someone. I'll have to look into hiring a professional that can come and remove it from my yard as soon as possible.

My brother wants to make sure that the yard space around his beach house is clear and danger free. I really appreciated it when you stated that dead trees tend to lean over house areas and even attract termites to it because my brother's beach house is made of wood so it wouldn't likely be able to withstand a tree falling on top of it and it would certainly be a prime target for termites. I'll be sure to show this article to my brother so he can get a better idea of who to call to help him get that tree sorted out. Thank you!

Although the tree in the yard is far from the house, it still grows in an area that is near our neighbor's house. Because of that, I'm thinking of hiring a tree removal company. With that said, I shall then follow your advice to find one that can be honest about what needs to be done with the tree, and not someone who is just after the price.

Thanks for pointing out that hiring a tree professional can determine if your tree is fine or it needs to be removed. My colleague noticed a couple of black spots around his pine trees recently. Maybe he should consider looking for a tree removal expert that can help him with this case.
