When you have a tree that as one of these signs it may be time to call a professional. 

• The tree look like it may fall over, is top heavy, or is at a bad leaning angle. 
• The tree looks like it is dead, dying, not sprouting leaves, or has a lot of dried out branches.
• The tree is growing in a bad or dangerous area. Over a house, into a powerline, over a garage, or to close to a gas line. 
• The tree is infested with termites, or other bad tree bugs. 

If a tree shows signs a falling it might do just that. We hear time and time again being in the tree profession that people were going to call to have a branched or tree removed but they never got around to it. Then it was too late. Half the tree ends up on the house or car. Then they regret not making that phone call.  

You have to understand that some tree's can lean for years and never go down. Her is the best way to look at it. The reason I say honest is because if you get just anybody then they might tell you that it should be removed so they get the business and money. If you have the remnants of tree you had chopped down previously here is the 2nd easiest stump removal technique. The easiest would be to call a professional, give him some money then sit back with an ice cold cup of tea while the job gets done. 

This technique involves using Epsom salt to get rid of the stump. You can get Epsom salt at your local pharmacy, or Wal-Mart.  You will also need a drill, and a 3/8th drill bit that is over 10 inches long. You can get those items at your local hardware store. Depending on how big the stump is determines how much Epsom salt is needed. If the Stump is really big it is still going to take some time to break down. You will also need a tarp big enough to cover the stump.

Now that you have all those things you take the Drill bit and drill holes that are about 3-4 inches apart down 10 inches deep over the entire area of the top of the stump. 

Once the holes are drill you will need to fill all the holes with Epsom salt. Then take the Epsom salt and pour it on the stump all the way around the base. Make sure to get it an inch or two deep around the stump. 

Once you have these steps completed take the tarp and cover the stump completely.  Keep it covered to keep out the rain. If rain or moister gets in it will wash away the salt and the salt cant do its job. 

What happens next is where the magic happens. The salt will break down the wood and deteriorate it. Bam! Free easy diy stump removal. You can do this in Evansville or anywhere else in the world.

Oak tree's are massive, and from time to time to help maintain the tree for new growth and vitality need trimmed. One- Keep safety in mind at all times. This can not be stressed enough. You do not want get hurt trying to get rid of a dead branch, it's just now worth it. If you are at all worried that something may happen or you are not sure about something consult a professional. 

Two- This seems a bit odd to most people, but clean your tools first. Believe it or not tree's can carry diseases that other tree's may get. 3. Never remove healthy limbs from the top of the tree, unless doing so because of obstruction to another object like a power line. The top of the tree collects the most sunlight and should be left alone. However the tree limbs around the outside of the tree that are rubbing up against other limbs or are dead can be removed.
